Adding New Rules
Creating new rules is easy, simply click on ADD NEW RULE button in the upper right corner and a window will open up:

First things first, create a new name for the rule.
Click on Every Day at any time and choose one of the following:
Concrete period - a one time event based on your specified date and time
Every day - every day in your specified time range.
Weekends & Holidays - weekends in your specified time range including national holidays.
Workdays - Monday to Friday in your specified time range, excluding national holidays.
Days of the Week - time during specific days of the week chosen by you - repeats every week.
Click on Object types and choose the object types you want to detect and recognize in this rule. You can pick multiple object groups. The objects types you see in the drop down menu are pre-loaded in DEKI SAFE by default.
For each active area you can setup additional settings as seen in the example below. These settings
In a specified time range, an object type chosen gets detected at a video source selected / or in an active area of a video source
Then the chosen action gets triggered. You can choose one or more created action types.
Once you are finished, click on CREATE and exit the window. Now that you have added new rule, activate in by toggling the ACTIVE button in rule overview:
Click on Video Sources and choose one or multiple video source you want the rule to apply to. Here you can also add the created active areas () for each individual video source.
By default, when creating a new rule your active areas that you created are not added to the rule. You can pick and choose active areas that you want to be included in this rule, by clicking on the edit icon . A window will open up called ADD ACTIVE AREAS. Here you can choose an active area that you want to add, or manage previously added active areas (remove them from the rule).
Click on do something and you can choose from all created actions (). When a rule gets fulfilled:
