Video Sources
In the navigation bar on the left side, you will see a VIDEO SOURCES page. Here you can add new video sources and configure them.

In the overview for the video sources, each video source will have certain indicators for it:
Preview - clicking on the image of the video source under preview will show you a preview of your video stream
ID - special ID of the video source. This number is internal value and doesn't correspond with the number or order of the video sources.
Name - The name you have chosen for this video source
URL - The rtsp url of your added video source
Active Areas - overview, creation and management of active areas / zones of detection (take a look at chapter 5.5. Smart Perimeter Protection)
Active - Shows the current status of a video source. Activate or deactivate video sources here by toggling the button.
3 Buttons - For each video source there are 3 buttons at the end of it. Edit, Delete and Copy.
Edit Button - Allows you to edit existing video sources.
Delete Button - Allows you to delete existing video sources.
Copy Button - Allows you to copy the output RTSP stream URL. This output stream has the detection results from DEKI video-analytics overlay on the RTSP stream coming from the IP camera.
Adding new video sources
To add a new video source, click on the "Add New Video Source" button in the upper right corner.
A window will open up.

Add the name of the new video source and click on Video Source Type. Here you can choose a Network RTSP camera or ONVIF device (More video source types coming soon).
Adding Network RTSP camera

Enter information as needed:
Video Source Name - Your name for the new video source
RTSP username - Username for the authentication of the network camera
RTSP password - Password for the authentication of the network camera
RTSP hostname - IP address or a domain name of the network camera
RTSP server port - RTSP Port used for the network camera
RTSP path - Use this field if you need to target a specific network path (example: rtsp://some_address:some_port/RTSP_path_to_stream)
RTSP query params - Use this field if you need to target a specific network path, using additional query params (example: rtsp://some_address:some_port/RTSP_path_to_stream?some_query_params)
Click Save and Exit.
Now, toggle the active button and give the video pipeline 10-15 seconds to start. After that reload the page, and you should see an image in the video source preview.
If you are adding multiple video sources at once, we highly recommend you to wait after adding each one 10-15 seconds, reloading the page and looking at the video source preview to see if the stream is running and object detection is working properly, before adding the next one.
All video streams are running in the same video analysis pipeline. If you add a corrupted video stream to the platform it may break the pipeline and result in black screen for all video sources. If this happens, make sure you isolate the corrupted video source by either disabling it or removing it from the list of video sources, afterward reload the page after 10-15 seconds and the rest of the video streams should be visible and running.
Do you have trouble adding your video source ? Do you see a black screen in the preview after you have added the video source information ? Please make sure that video source credentials are complete and correct, that your camera has the appropriate settings and consult the Camera installation page -> Camera Installation
Adding new ONVIF device

To add a new ONVIF device select the target camera from the drop down menu and select the media profile for the target camera. If prompted to also input credentials (name and password) do so and click OK. You will know ONVIF device has been successfully added if you see a preview image from the camera once added.
What to do in case of issues with adding Video Streams ?
