Adding new video sources

To add a new video source, click on the "Add New Video Source" button in the upper right corner.

A window will open up.

Add the name of the new video source and click on Video Source Type. Here you can choose a Network RTSP camera or ONVIF device (More video source types coming soon).

Adding Network RTSP camera

Please take a look at the RTSP URL structure of your camera brand. The first method of finding the RTSP IP camera URL is by taking a look at the camera manual that comes with each product. If you are unsure if you have the correct URL, please test it in a 3rd party program such as VLC, and try to open the stream there - How to open RTSP stream in VLC.

New RTSP video source

Enter information as needed:

  • Video Source Name - Your name for the new video source

  • RTSP username - Username for the authentication of the network camera

  • RTSP password - Password for the authentication of the network camera

  • RTSP hostname - IP address or a domain name of the network camera

  • RTSP server port - RTSP Port used for the network camera

  • RTSP path - Use this field if you need to target a specific network path (example: rtsp://some_address:some_port/RTSP_path_to_stream)

  • RTSP query params - Use this field if you need to target a specific network path, using additional query params (example: rtsp://some_address:some_port/RTSP_path_to_stream?some_query_params)

    Click Save and Exit.

Now, toggle the active button and give the video pipeline 10-15 seconds to start. After that reload the page, and you should see an image in the video source preview.

Adding new ONVIF device

Adding New ONVIF device

To add a new ONVIF device select the target camera from the drop down menu and select the media profile for the target camera. If prompted to also input credentials (name and password) do so and click OK. You will know ONVIF device has been successfully added if you see a preview image from the camera once added.
