This documentation is structured in accordance with the applicable EU regulations and contains safety instructions. The operator of the SAFE is responsible for ensuring that the operating personnel receive the necessary safety-relevant information and also read the documentation. Individuals are responsible for compliance with the safety instructions.
This chapter contains a general introduction of the safety instructions, as well as the description of the warning and safety instructions of the safety labels located on the SAFE. Here you will also find important information on accident prevention.
This document contains the following types of notes:
Warning and safety instructions
Notes
Information
This document contains warnings and safety instructions that you must observe for your personal safety, the safety of other personnel, and to prevent damage to property.
Warning and safety instructions draw the user's attention to hazards that can lead to slight bodily injury, serious bodily injury, even death, or to considerable damage to property if the corresponding instructions are not observed.
In the respective chapter, warnings and safety instructions refer to the hazards applicable there.
The structure of warning and safety instructions is identical. They are highlighted by a warning triangle and must be strictly observed!
Example:
This document contains notes, which are shown as below.
Notes contain important information about the SAFE, the handling of the SAFE or the respective part of the documentation to which special attention is to be drawn. Disregarding them can have adverse consequences which, as a rule, could only lead to a hazard to personnel or the SAFE in exceptional and individual cases.
Instructions must always be read carefully and observed to ensure correct operation and function.
Example:
Information is additional notes on the handling of the SAFE or the respective part of the documentation to which special attention is to be drawn and the observance of which is recommended because of a possible benefit.
Information should be read and observed carefully in the interest of optimum use and operation of the product.
Example:
Even with maximum care in the design and construction of the SAFE and with consideration of all safety-relevant facts, residual hazards may exist which have been evaluated by means of a risk assessment.
IT Sentinel shall not have any responsibility for any accident or damage that may incur during the use of the product. For your safety, we provide a few instructions about installation, manipulation, cleaning, assembly/disassembly of the product as below. Please read carefully and comply with the instructions.

The operating, maintenance and repair personnel must be specifically trained for use on the machine. Special attention must be paid to the following points during training:
Great attention must be paid to safety instructions!
Information and warnings must be given about the existing residual risks!
New personnel must be instructed before starting work!
Recurring training for all personnel must be provided!
The training shall cover safety training, operation, maintenance and repair of the machine supplied, assembled and put into service by the IT Sentinel GmbH (or only supplied by the IT Sentinel GmbH).
The initial training is usually carried out by the IT Sentinel GmbH, or by appropriately trained and qualified personnel of the operator. Internal training at the SAFE operator (e.g. training of new employees) may only be carried out by authorized personnel or personnel trained by the IT Sentinel GmbH. Furthermore, if the employee responsible for employee training is prevented from attending or leaves, the operator of the machine is obliged to train and authorize at least one other employee for employee training. If the initial training is not provided by the IT Sentinel GmbH, the operator is responsible for the proper training (according to the above training scope).
All training courses shall be documented in a training log. In any case, the scope of the training, the persons trained and the person(s) trained shall be recorded.
